Over the years as a Mathematics teacher, I had the mind that Mathematics is not really for every students as some tend to have a natural love for the subject while some tend to have phobia for it. When I came across HPL, my orientation changed, all students can actually be high performer learner. With the use of differentiated lesson and task, all types of students with different learning styles can be cared for without affecting anyone or slowing anyone down. Group task is another method that could help develop students that are still finding it hard to understand the topic. The use of Technology platform like Century Tech is another method that could develop their self-paced learning, analysing skill, realizing skill , meta-thinking  skill . All students can actually be a good Mathematics student if HPL skills are effectively in teaching

This is so good to read. I have learned that there is a bit of risk-taking involved in developing our teaching practice, being brave to try out methods that we had not used before. We can all be a bit fixed in our thinking, but it is never too late to try something new. In response to your thoughts about the development of maths teaching through HPL, I would recommend teachers new to HPL try out just one new thing and see how it goes. There doesn't need to be a revolution and all your planning need not go out of the window, just a willingness to take a risk. Can I recommend "Walkthrus", guides to instructional coaching by Tom Sherringham and Oliver Caviglioli. They provide incredibly helpful and detailed information about approaches to try and are ideal to support HPL practice. We are using them as a basis for research with our teaching and learning group, to support departmental development of HPL. I'm happy to share more details of this if you are interested
