Nadeen School, presents HPL
Nadeen School introduces HPL in their School News and highlights why HPL is for Nadeen School. The newsletter makes reference to how the WCSA Conference was particularly exciting for Nadeen School, as the school already prides itself on all staff and students having a growth mindset, making progress and striving to achieve their very best. At Nadeen School they foster children to fulfil their potential and through the addition of HPL, it will systematically ensure that students are provided with the right opportunities and support to be personally motivated to reach their goals.

Join us in welcoming The British School In The Netherlands to the World Class Schools Award Scheme!
The British School in The Netherlands is the oldest not-for-profit British international school in the Netherlands and has supported the international community in and around The Hague for over 90 years.
Established in 1931, the school’s four campuses deliver a high-quality education for children aged 3 to 18. With over 2,100 students, the school benefits from a thriving and diverse community of nearly 90 nationalities, making The British School In The Netherlands international and British. The school offers both a British and international curriculum, leading to GCSEs and in Sixth Form, students can choose to follow A-level, BTECs, IBDP and IBCP qualifications.
It was an utmost pleasure to host the CEO, Heath Monk and delegates from all four campuses of The British School In The Netherlands at the WCSA Induction at St. George's House, Windsor Castle.

What does HPL bring to every classroom? In this HPL Think Piece , Anne Howells - HPL Associate points out the following " Irrespective of how long we spend in formal educational settings and where we are in the world, the focused and explicit development of our cognitive abilities and learning behaviours provided by the High Performance Learning framework ensures that everyone, including ourselves, develop a deeper understanding of how we learn. It provides opportunities for us to reignite our curiosity and increase our confidence as learners and educators. No educational initiative is a magic bullet or ‘goose laying golden eggs’, but the HPL framework does provide a sensible approach that brings an additional dimension to lesson planning, classroom, and staffroom dialogue, one that definitely benefits us all in the short, medium and longer term."

The Importance of Followership in HPL schools
At the recent HPL FGC Cluster Linking Up meetings for Heads/ Principals and HPL Leads, the impact of leadership through the lens of followership was considered. In support of this a Think Piece was created in which our Supporting Partner, Inspirational Development Group (IDG) selected four of the HPL standards and layered on questions that HPL school SLTs may wish to ask themselves as they view HPL through the followership lens. The questions do not have neat answers via a policy, procedure, or document. Rather, they require discussion, analysis, and a search for evidence to demonstrate what followers do, say, and believe. Read the full think piece if you are interested in knowing more about l eading an HPL School Post Accreditation.

Our apologies to our friends at Twinkl. The Maths example shared by one of Schools last week should have stated that it was a modification of a Twinkl resource.
