The following ‘Think Like A Geographer’ Challenge is an opportunity for students to develop some of the VAAs by practising their agility as an enquirer, being creative, open-minded and taking risks.

The following HPL Challenge can be used for upper KS2/ KS3 school learners for learning about time zones. Students must plan a route around the world for a TV show, using their knowledge of time zones to ensure the camera crews are in the right place at the right time! This develops their problem solving and strategy planning as well as other key ACPs and VAAs.

The following HPL Challenge can be used for upper KS2/ KS3 school learners. Students practise their precision and learn how to read and draw maps before being challenged to produce a map of their home town/city/village, encouraging them to be active and get out and about!
